”õl Today, the margin of electronic specification between computer devices are being trimmed down day by day. So if you're going to buy DIMMs, you should add warranty for affinity between memory and other devices. As Windows NTs are becoming defact standerd OS, unknown errors which occur in runnning Windows9x turn out to be memory errors.
But if the system built by modules that must work proper doesn't work proper, that must become a new item of this "Junk Junky".
TX531 and P5F93, mainboards that I use is a relatively classic system in those who supports SDRAM. But FSB of these systems are 66MHz, and the clock speed of CPUs is as 1/10 fast as today's. PC100 SDRAM must work on this systems....So I got this DIMM module with K6-2 350MHz at "PC convinience Muraoka"too.
I was pleased to get them and installed this module and AMD-K6 on TX-531, and got appointed with the important fact.
I was disappointed to that, but I tried to install it to P5F93 that I use as a home Web server expecting that it work just a little bit smoothly....
....Application error occurs and the system halted on boot up.
By the way, however some data sheet tells TX531 supports up to 512MB of memory, my system can recognize only up to 64MB. I'm going to introduce this "Junky mainboard" when the use of this is dissappeared. Please check it out.
