story I can say The charm of Windows PCs are upgradabilities of its modules.
But as a unificatin of functions to a module goes on, and as the progress of hardware is accelarated, to upgrade PC by changing the modules cost almost as much as that by buying all new computers. And such situation makes the Green party's demonstration rush into your room and make them sow jute's seeds all over your room.
But I can say I'm a ecological mania of PC, because I enjoy customizing classic IBM-PC AT compatible platform by using junk modules. For example, Web server which works at my home is a socket7 platform, and that for only for scanning use has K-5 CPU.
But I hope that I use Web still camera someday. So I planned building the webcam server to buy this K6-2 CPU.
I thought this junk CPU with a retail fan sold for 892yen(with TAX) was a bargain. I was satisfied to get it and installed it...
"How can I set V-core to 2.2V?"
VRM socket is too difficult to get today.
I am reminded that Mr. Hiiragi, who's my friend said "Do you need K6" someday on the past. Advice of others should be heard, and the question should be asked before the problem occurs.
