"Ayu" is one of the most delicious fresh-water fish in Japan. Someone calls it "Flavor fish", because of its griiled flavor.
Somehow, some species of ayu who live in Biwako lake grow only 1 inch, so they're called "Ko-ayu (little ayu)". This dish is made of infant "Ko-ayu", sugar, soy sauce, and some oriental spices.
