story "accelerate from 64kbpsISDN to 1.5MbpsADSL!"
In the evening of the day before My subscriber was changed to ADSL,I got excited that I've not felt for a long time.
I forgot that I bought "MELCO WLAR-128S", the wireless router including ISDN terminal adaptor a couple of weeks ago on that day. And the day's come. NTT called me that the construction was finished. I left office as soon as I finished work and I bought "ELECOM LD-BBR4" the router that inplimented PPPoE at "Yodobashi Camera Machida branch". I connected intranet to ADSL modem and mesured the connection speed on the speedtest site....
"300kbps"
Subtle, It was "too subtle"....
It was too slow to "Broadband", but was not so slow enough to make my mind to cancel ADSL and back to ISDN. But I had something to do before I was discouraged to ADSL.
The next day, I went shopping to "Yodobashi Camera Shinjuku branch", and found two types of line noise filter, such as "for Analog" and "for Digital".
I was't sure which I should buy. I asked the sales stuff (he seemed to a temporary stuff from maker).
"Here. That's it" He overconfidently (or arrogantly) pointed at this device.
I connected this between ADSL modem and subscriber.....disconnected(;-p
I watched its packege again and found the charactors "for ISDN".(;-p
I couldn't cancel it because I discarded the reciept for it. After all, I bought "Line noise filter for ADSL" again at "Yodobashi Camera Machida branch".It's said in japanese, "Giving money to robbers".
Since then, I make up my mind not to ask any questions to the temporary stuffs from makers.
But, I found that my house is 5110m(about 3miles) far from NTT and the S/N ratio on subscriber is 41db(that's "very difficult" to negociate).
