Junk Point Lost generation
story I complained that many PC manias are eager to use Intel CPUs too much on Mr.tako's BBS "tako-tsubo(the pod of octopus)". But the percentage of my "non-Intel"PC decreased rapidly because of my "ThinkPad carnival(that is a overbuying of classic ThinkPad)".
Now I have 25 working notebook and desktop computers, but there are only 4 PCs who doesn't have Intel's CPU, (Panelina [Crusoe-700MHz], Web server [Cyrix M2-233MHz], IBM9103 [Am5x86-133MHz], and main desktop PC [Athlon64-3000+]).
However, I'm a sympathizer of "non-Intel" CPU at heart because I don't like that company's arrogant policy of architecture of which doesn't seem like regard the PC makers' logic system designers' labors. I think that Pentium4, which loads PCs' power supply unit too much with its high electricity consumption by unbelievable high speed clock and low efficiency, or this MMC cartridge which occupies large space of limiting room in the body of notebook computers are the symbol of that policy.
Fortunately(?), My notebook that had been installed this "Deshutes" CPU is ThinkPad770X, that are very huge enough to be installed that large cartridge. But I can hardly imagine this large CPU is installed ultraportable notebook like B5 size ThinkPad.

I had had no notebook computers which have Intel Pentium 2 CPU. But when I try it, I realized that even if same "Deschutes" CPU for desktop computers runs 100MHz of FSB, but that which is for notebook runs only 66MHz. So MPEG-4 movies can hardly play with this system.
Today, I use ThinkPad560X (with MMX-Pentium 200MHz) for word processors and spread sheets, and also use TransNote (P3-600MHz) and 600X (P3-450MHz) for mobile multimedia system (such as video & audio player). I feel Pentium 2 system is "lukewarm" of its usage. So I can say it's "the lost generation".
