AMD K5-PR133
made by AMD
Specification FSB66MHz,real clock100MHz
Performance Rate133MHz
Junk Point Worked less than real performance
story Everyone agrees that a crackdown against speeders performs the point that many people want to drive faster than the legal maximum speed.
In this case, it's clear that the cops are willing to get the foul charge from drivers. But it's also natural that they want to drive on 30mph where the maximum speed sets 25mph, 40mph-30mph, and 100mph-55mph.....
I think "The Over-Clockers" are the same case. I understand what they think...."We should make CPU work at the best performance....although there are no margin for safety".....even if they make many "Yaki-Tori('Roast chiken' in Japanese.....The OverClockers of AMD-Athlon [whose code name was 'Thunderbird'] in Japan call 'the crushed AthlonCPU by overheating')".
But....I'm different from the case.
I use my main desktop PC with AMD Athlon-1GHz at normal speed, but web server and specified PC for Scanner work at different speed from normal one. There are not only the cases of "Overclocking", but also the cases of "UnderClocking"....the 3 cases are like below;
1 Intel MMX-Pentium 166MHz
Normal speed 166MHz(66MHz x 2.5)
settings 200MHz(66MHz x 3.0)
Why? I got this CPU from "The chief of Hot Dish Comittee", but I didn't certify the spec. of this CPU. I mistook it for "P55C-200MHz"
2 Cyrix MII 300GP+
Normal speed 266MHz(75MHz x 3)
Setting 200MHz(66MHz x 3)
Why Regard to this CPU's data sheet, it runs at 266MHz(75MHz x 3.0). But there is a script "66MHz 3.5x 2.9V" on CPU package. The name logo is "Cyrix-MII" different from normal's "Cyrix 6x86MX". It's very misterious.
Just as I thought, It didn't run stable at the speed discribed on the package, so I worked it as a websever at slower speed(the setting of Cyrix 6x86MX-233GP's: 66MHz x 3.0). On this setting the BIOS recognizes this as "Cyrix MII/IBM 6x86MX-266"....it's also a mistery.
3 AMD K5-PR133
Normal speed 100MHz(66MHz x 1.5)
setting 100MHz(66MHz x 1.5)
Why? The setting is just the same as normal one. But however...the BIOS recognizes the CPU as "AMD K5-100MHz".

I wrote the cases in blue which I have no responsibilities with "over" or "under"....but I may have some responsibilities for having a contact with misterious devices.
As wrote above, I got this CPU and ATC-1020 for the custom-made PC for my father-in-law. But the best of this CPU as fast as P54C-133MHz performed only 30-40minutes after the confusions of crush of my web server (I disinstalled this CPU and re-installed it on the same mainboard at the same jumper settings, but however, after this work BIOS recognized it as "K5-PR133"....).
But I am relatively happier than the people who got the misterious K5 processor with the script "K5-PR150", which has never been released from AMD.
