Multi I/O card
made by unknown(maybe "Vitex", I/Ochip is WINBOND W83757F)
Specification ISA I/F
IDE, FDC, 2 COMs, LPT
Junk Point certainly faster than C-bus....
story This is a multi I/O card installed in the VL-bus of TATUNG 9700T-8/66(9700-3WV?) as wrote, which had absolutly no I/Fs onboard.
I didn't know much about AT-compatible architecture, So I believed that the maximal trasfer speed of this card was 33Mbytes/sec because this I/F was connected to VL-bus and I was pleased that the speed was 22x faster than that of SCSI-2 I/F for C-bus(PC-9801 legacy bus). But the fact was that the maximal speed was not more than 10MB/sec, that was the limit of legacy IDE I/F. And It must seem to be a ISA I/F..... I found that after a several month and was eager to get VL-bus multi I/O card, which could install up to 1MB of 32pin-SIMM for disk cache. But the time when PCI-on board IDE I/F become mainstream was come to near.
